| | Nintendo DS Observation | | I know most kids have a ds now days my kids don't cause they don't take care of their things and I can't afford one for each kid or a replacement.Either way I was at work the other night and I saw this family walking thru and the kids were playing their Nintendo DS'. The kids were like zombies on that gaming system they were walking along never looking up to see the world around them. I wonder if they ever walk into things cause they don't look up!! Is this the new baby sitter while shopping? If the kids are glued to the screen they won't look up to beg for something in the store? Though I guess this isn't much different than the teens I see walking and texting constantly. | |

| Nintendo DS? Nintendo DS Lite? | | I really need some help on this one guys. My eldest son had a ds lite for Christmas and birthday (his birthday is 6th January) as he was then 8. My middle son really wants one but I have told him that he couldn't have one until he too was 8. The only problem is that his birhtday is in May so I couldn't give it to him as a joint birthday and Christmas present. So I came up with a possible answer to this and that is to buy him a reconditioned old style DS. They are of course a lot cheaper but I was wondering what the huge difference is between the ds and ds lite. I know the ds lite comes in lots of different colours and is slimmer but is that where the differences end? Can you still send messages between a ds and a ds lite?
