Help for tennis elbow
Does anyone have any suggestions for getting tennis elbow to heal? I drive a school bus and am a grandmother, so I have to use my arm every day.How can I promote the healing of a tear in the muscle or tendon when I use my arm non-stop? I have tried the Capsasin Cream but it made my arm burn. I am now using a Lydicane Patch prescribed by the doctor. It does help with keeping pain at bay, doesn't promote healing. Any suggestions?
Help for tennis elbow...
What is the best way to get tennis elbow to heal? I have been told that it can take months for the tear in the muscle or tendon to heal. I have to be able to use my arm as I am a school bus driver and a grandmother. I have tried the Capsasin Cream until my arm burned everytime I used it. Now I am using a Lydocain Patch taht was prescribed to me. Great. That helps with the pain, but doesn't promote healing. Anyone have any suggestions?
Has anyone here every had tennis elbow?
Last year I had tennis elbow in my right arm. I don't know how I got it. I went to physiotherapy but had to stop when the insurance ran out. The pain eventually went away.I have now developed tennis elbow in my left arm (I am right-handed) and it is driving me crazy. My insurance ran out at the end of December but it is now a new year so insurance has picked up again and I am back in physio. The pain is becoming excruciating. It actually woke me up at 5am. I am getting so frustrated. I just want this to stop.I remember my mother having tennis elbow 30 years ago. I remember her getting a cortisone shot and coming home crying from the pain of the shot. I have considered having the cortisone shot as I have heard it works, but the memory of my mother scares me.Any input?
had my cortisone jab today
i had it at 11:20am,it's now 18:15 and it really hurts now,my arm is freezing cold as i can't move it and my fingers are swelling because i have to keep my arm hanging down beside me,but if it stops my tennis elbow it'll be worth it,but the doctor did say that i need to find out what caused it as if i carry on doing whatever it was i did to cause it,it may come back, problem is because i'm ill i don't do much apart from clean the house and cook the dinner,so i don't know what caused it
doctor has annoyed me
as i said in yesterdays discussion i was meant to have a cortizone injection today for my tennis elbow, well the doctor who suggested it was completly full this week and on holiday next week,so i got an appointment with another gp,the only gp i don't like,so i went to see him and said what the other doc told me,he said i couldn't have the jab,as my elbow is only a mild inconvenience in my life, and i should use anti inflamatory pain relief gel,i said i'd taken oral anti inflamatories and tried resting it,but it wasn't working, that's why the other gp said to have the jab,,so i said, look i've had this for nearly 3 months,it's getting worse and it's NOT a mild inconvenience it's painfull 24 7,he still said NO,so i complained to my other doc,he was not happy that i wasn't given the jab,and that i was only given gel that wouldn't work anyway,so,he said to wait til he gets back from his hols and he'll give me my jab, bless my lovely gphiss that other gp,he was going to leave me in pain for up to 10 months, which is apparantly how long it could take to heal,,hiss hiss, boo boo
i pulled a muscle in my wrist - by crocheting!
i was crocheting last night and i felt a little snap in the muscle just below my wrist on my right hand! (i have done this in my heels so i know what happened...your tendons are like elastic bands and they can snap if over used...) have you ever done anything like this?
Computer Short-cuts
I hope most of them use short-cut keys to access the computer. Everyone prefer using keyboard instead of dragging and clicking the mouse. It will definitely increase the speed of your work when you work with the keyboard instead of using mouse. Below are some of the short-cut keys that I would like to share with all:-Always use Windows key(two keys in the keyboard one in the right and another in the left) -You have one key in the keyboard which can be used instead of using Right click in the mouse. This is in the right hand side of the space key after the Alt key. -When you want to close a window use Alt+F4 keys. -When you want to save an excel file and when the dialog box opens, use Alt+4 or Alt+5 to create a folder and save the file inside it.I am not sure whether most of us knew the above short-cuts but still if you could share some, it would be very useful.
I have tendonitis in my elbow. what can I do for it??
The last couple days I can really feel it kicking in in my right arm.. it might quit for a second but then its starts right back up and I just cant stand it. it hurts!! Is there anything you know of that can help it???
Computer Diagnosis - Seriously the best joke ever!
This is probably the longest joke I have typed up, but certainly one of my favorites. One day Bill complained to his friend, "My elbow really hurts, and I guess I should see a doctor."His friend offered, "Don't do that. There's a computer at the drug store that can diagnose anything quicker an cheaper than a doctor. Simply put in a sample of your urine, and the computer will diagnose your problem, and tell you what you can do about it. It only costs $10."Bill figured he had nothing to lose, so he filled a jar with a urine sample, and went to the drug store. Finding the computer, he poured in the sample and deposited the $10. The computer started making some noise, and various lights started flashing. After a brief pause out popped a small slip of paper on which was printed: You have tennis elbow. Soak your arm in warm water. Avoid heavy lifting. It will be better in two weeks.Late that evening while thinking how amazing this new technology was and how it would change medical science forever, and he began to wonder if this machine could be fooled. He decided to give it a try. He mixed together some tap water, a stool sample from his dog and urine samples from his...
What is your New Years Resolution?
I have a few things. One is to get married this summer. I can't wait. Anoother is a job I have found that may make me financially independent of the government which, for someone who has lived for four years off of social security, this is a major breakthrough. I know it is real because I have talked to real people in voice chat about it. Other than all that, which is quite a bit by itself, I don't have anything planned. If you want more info on the job, reply to this or add and PM me. Be warned though, I will not accept people as friends who post one line topics so if this is you, you'll just have to reply here. Tell me what you all have planned for 2007!
